Sloth Bear Experience

Sloth Bear Experience –Fridays @ 2:30pm

Come inside our bear building and learn all about sloth bears! See a bear up close and learn how the Zoo cares for this unique species. You will learn about sloth bear natural history, our training and enrichment program, and watch a training demonstration.

Sloth bears are included in Phase 2 of the Zoo’s Master Plan. We are excited to share how we envision building a more modern home for our resident bears!

Details:

• All day Zoo admission is included for you to explore the Zoo before and after your experience.
• Each experience is 30 minutes in length.
• This experience is limited to guests who are ages eight (8) and up. If a participant is under the age of 12, an adult will need to be registered with them.
• This experience is limited to four (4) guests per behind-the-scenes tour and only one family/group is booked on a single date.
• For your safety, close-toed shoes are required.
• This area does not have climate control- if you or anyone in the group is heat or cold sensitive, please keep this in mind.

Accessibility:

• Navigating Zoo pathways and standing for 30 minutes
• Unpaved surfaces including loose dirt and gravel
• Strong odors and spontaneous animal vocalizations may occur
• Wheelchair accessible

You are getting exclusive access to behind-the-scenes areas of the Zoo! Photos are not permitted to be taken by guests during the experience in this area, unless otherwise indicated by staff.
