Penguin Experiences –Saturdays @ 2:00pm

Experience the awe of African penguins first hand with a keeper and dive into their unique stories –our penguins have big personalities! Choose from one of two opportunities to see them up close, learn about our penguin conservation work, and make memories with your friends and family.

Penguin Tour – $100.00/person

• Join keepers on a guided tour of Penguin Pointe and get the inside scoop on our waddle of penguins!

Paint with a Penguin – $150.00/person

• You choose your paint colors and the penguins waddle over the blank canvas as they paint!
• Paintings are limited to one (1) painting per family/group.

Details:

• All day Zoo admission is included for you to explore the Zoo before and after your experience.
• Each experience is 30 minutes in length
• This experience is limited to guests who are ages eight (8) and up. If a participant is under the age of 12, an adult will need to be registered with them.
• This experience is limited to six (6) guests per behind-the-scenes tour and only one family/group is booked on a single date.
• For your safety, close-toed shoes are required.
• Access to behind-the-scenes spaces may vary based on penguin nesting and behavior.

Accessibility:

• Navigating Zoo pathways and standing for 30 minutes
• Unpaved surfaces including loose dirt and gravel
• Stairs to enter and exit exhibit spaces
• Strong odors and spontaneous animal vocalizations may occur

Photography Policy:

You are getting exclusive access to behind the scenes areas of the Zoo! Photos are not permitted to be taken by guests during the experience, unless otherwise indicated by staff.  But don’t worry, there will be a few great photo opportunities available! Zoo staff can take group shots or photos for you at certain points during the experience. Guests must provide their own camera or cell phone.
